What is the difference between a codicil and an
amendment ?

A Codicil typically refers to a formal legal document that makes a minor change to a Will, whereas an Amendment normally refers to a change to a trust agreement.
They are both similar in that they provide a method for updating or changing an estate planning document [either a Will or Trust].
