Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New Jersey

A deceased resident of Pennsauken, Camden County, NJ had his wife appointed administrator of his estate. She established an estate account at PNC Bank but then passed away with $500+ in her husband's estate account. I am the executor of her estate and am trying to determine what I nweed to do to have that $500+ in the husband's estate account transferred to his wife's estate account so I can distribute the funds according to her will. Any response would be appreciated.

Since the asset is an asset of the deceased husband's estate, in order to transfer the account, an executor or administrator must be appointed for the husband's estate. If his will named a back-up executor, that person should be contacted.

I agree with Jon. If there is no one is designated as successor, perhaps you could be appointed as administrator. The account is so small in value that the simplest way of accomplishing this should be undertaken.
