Estate executor probe

If you have the name of the deaceased and his ss number and the town where he last lived..... Is there a way to contact the county surrogate and find out who is the executor of the estate....... Will they give that information to someone who calls

in other words how do you find out who is the lawyer or executor of an estate . Thanks in advance

You will also need the approximate date of death and date of probate of the Will or administration. The Surrogate will usually provide this information (if there was a Will, when it was probated, and who is appointed to represent the estate. Copies of the Will, if there was one, may be obtained for a small photocopying fee. If you need help, contact me directly.
