Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New Jersey

Estate robbery

My father passed almost two years ago, the executor has not resolved anything yet. My father lived with me when he died but most of his belongings(our family things) were still at his ex girlfriends house, she refuses to return anything to me. They are very sentimental items that have been in our family a long time. She believes they now belong to her. Besides the executor not paying any bill yet, that I know of anyway(she wont return my calls) Does the girlfriend have any right to his things and how can i get them back from her, I am afraid she has gotten rid of very special things. please help!!

Re: Estate robbery

If there was a Will, has it been probated? Have you been given a copy? What does it provide? If you are mentioned and the executor has done nothing, you can file a complaint with the Probate Court to compel an accounting, remove and surcharge the executor if anything that should have been done was not done, and seek to have a replacement executor appointed. I need more information to give you any better or specific answers. Two years is too long for nothing to have been done.
