Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New Jersey

Executor vs. Beneficiary

My son's father passed away and the father's friend is the executor for his will but my son is 18 and everything was left to him. The executor is placing the autos he owned in his name and selling them below market value. Does my son have any say? Shouldn't the cars go to him and not the executor? Also how do we get a complete list of everything, I have asked for all the cars (Porsche) year and model but have not received them. Also shouldn't I be the 1st creditor as he owed me over $100K in back child support. The executor is saying he is trying not to list things so that the creditors don't take everything and my son end up with nothing. This doesn't make sense to me. We live in Virginia and this is all being done in New Jersey.

Re: Executor vs. Beneficiary

It sounds like there is a lot more going on here. I would strongly recommend that you/your son hire an attorney to represent you. At a minimum, your son needs to be provided with more information. He is entitled to an estate accounting from the executor. If you are owed back child support, you should file a claim against the estate.
