executor of parents will

my mother has named her three children executors of her will. we all get along and agree to follow the simple will as it is written. do you see a reason to release two of the three?

Shoud we do that what happens if the one left dies or becomes incapacitated?

Re: executor of parents will

There does not appear to be a problem with all 3 children acting as co-executors. You do not need to do anything now. After your mother's death, if all 3 want to serve as executors, they can do so...if not, one or more can simply renounce the appointment.

I agree with Jon that there is nothing to lose by having all 3 qualify. You can always agree among yourselves that less than 3 can handle things.
