Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New Jersey
My Father died 2 years ago. I have lived in his house before he died to help take care of him. My Sister is the executrix of the estate. She now says I owe 13,000.00 dollars in rent when we never discussed any rent prior to now. She has done nothing with the estate and now owes estate taxs and penaltys. We never entered into any agreement or there was nothing mentioned about any rent. I paid the electric bill which was over $400.00 per month. Can she make me pay the 13K when there was never any agreement?

These problems are so typical! When it comes to money, there is almost always a fight in the family. I suggest you get a good estate lawyer who can try to negotiate with your sister. Hopefully, neither of you get angry and start suit,
I hope this helps!
