Re: form to cut ties

Your question is difficult to understand.

I'm not sure if you are asking how you can disinherit your family ["cut ties"], or if you are looking to disclaim assets from an estate ["I don't want anything from the estate"].

If you tell me what you want to do, I can try to help you.

Re: form to cut ties

I also found the question a little difficult to understand. It appears you are not interested in not taking what you are given under the Will. You do not describe your relationship, if any, to the decedent or to the other heirs. You may "renounce" your share of the inheritance, by a form available from the Surrogate, if filed within 9 months of the date of death. This form considers you having predeceased the decedent, so people you may want to benefit may not take your share of the estate. This should be reviewed with an estate attorney to see if this should be done, or if you should take your inheritance and then "gift" it to people you want to assist.
