need to know

my godmother left me 20%of everthing she had.she lived in nj, i live in nv her house recently sold for 625.000 thousands$i know for a fact she had more than just her house ,meaning life ins bank acc jewerly ect.how do i go about finding out exceptly how much she really did have.because i feel that iam not gettingany information reguarding this,hell i had to research how much the house sold for myself my cousin which lives in nj of coarse is the exe in charge and was left out of the will.at some does she she not have to disclose this to me thank you very much.

You are entitled to an estate accounting which, among other things, will disclose all estate assets, debts and expenses, and may put some pressure on the executor to wrap things up and distribute the assets of the estate.

You can file a complaint in court to compel the executor to file the accounting. The legal costs of such a proceeding are often paid by the estate.

Sounds like 'nice' is not going to work with your cousin, and you will need a lawyer to get some answers.
