Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New Jersey

Grandmother's will

I am 26 years old and I was raised by my grandmother since I was 4 years old. She died Sept 2007. She left a large home in New Jersey and a mercedez benz that no one drives. She also left other assets including land, churches world-wide and businesses.

My aunt is executor. I was told my name is listed second in her will. But my aunt has not opened the will, to my knowledge. I am homeless, collecting unemployment and without a vehicle.

What can I do to find out about my grandmother's will and get my entitlement?

Re: Grandmother's will

I think that you need a lawyer to go to surrogate's court and open up an estate proceeding. The will should then be filed, and the court could intervene to compel the executor to act, and if she does not the curt can appoint a successor executor which could be you.
