Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New Jersey
Grandparents Will
My grandparents have a will. Both are now deceased as of January 2003. The Executor of the will never probated the will. The county courthouse in which they resided does not have a copy of the will. I do not know the attorney who drew up the will. How can I get a copy of their will?

Re: Grandparents Will
I assume both grandparents had ther own wills. I also assume that the last grandparent to die would have the will that would control the estate distribution.
How do you know who the executor is if you've never seen the will?
Has someone been appointed as estate administrator? I would begin by asking them about the existance of a will. Then ask their attorney. They may know something (i.e. the will was revoked, lost, etc.) If nobody can find the will, or a copy, there will be an intestacy.
