Guardianship fees

I have been appointed guardian as well as trustee for a special needs trust for my incapicated mother. Is there any kind of fee I can take for serving in this capicity?

Re: Guardianship fees

You are entitled to fees, set by statute. Check with the Clerk of the Court where you were appointed as to what fees you can take, as these fees are different from those generally allowed in non-guardian cases. Remeber that any fees paid to you are income subject to income taxes and also court approval after your guardianship has ended.
