Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New Jersey

What are my inheritance rights?

My father died about 20 years ago. I lived in Mexico at the time, and he did not know where I was. I recently found out that I have a half sister who inherited a bowling alley among other things when my father died. Do I have any claim to my father's estate? Is the statute of limitations long past?

The 20 year delay is a big problem. Were you a minor or incapacitated during that time period? Do you know if your father had a will or died intestate (i.e. no will)?

If the executor knew you were alive and were entitled to a share of the estate, fraud may have been committed in cutting you out. In that case, you may have a claim.
