Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New Jersey
Is it legal to provide service
Can I advertise to type others wills in NJ? I have 26 years experience in legal field and with wills and would like to provide service to others. A lot of people dont have wills because attorneys are too expensive.

I believe that would clearly constitute "the unauthorized practice of law" which is illegal in NJ and probably ever other state in the union.

Preparing a will for another party constitutes the practice of law and requires that you be admitted to the Bar and subject to oversight and regulation.

NO. and it is a crime to practice law without being licensed by the State of New Jersey to be an attorney

I agree that this would probably constitute the unauthorized practice of law, even if it were the simplest of documents and all that the person wanted was it typed and they gave you the contents.
