Re: limit of creditor's after death

If you arranged to have a Notice Limiting Creditors published in an appropriate paper as part of the probate proceeding, creditors usually only have 6 months from date of publication to make a claim, unless the claim is a securred claim (like a mortgage on a home). This might not prevent you from having to pay a claim to a known creditor, just by refusing to pay it for 6 months after the notice is published. Known claims should be paid.
