Mom signed house to Sis for $1. Is Son entitled to share?

Dad passed away Nov '06. Mom signed over house to Sis for $1 in Feb '07 (according to tax assessors records) without telling Son. Is Son entitled to a portion of Dad's share? What rights does Son have?

I am sorry, but most likely you have no right to the house. Usually in New Jersey the home of a married couple is deeded as a "tenancy by the entireties." The deed would say "A and B, husband and wife." If that is the case, the house became your Mom's asset by the death of your Dad. She has the right to gift it to your sister.

I hope this helps!
