Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New Jersey

My mother passed away in 2003 she didn't have a will. She has a property in mass. The house is paid off how do i go about transferring the property in my name.

You don't say where your mother died. If she was a NJ resident, you will need to do an ancillary probate proceeding in Mass. in order to convey title to the heirs. You may also be responsible for filing a Mass estate tax return [you would need a Mass attorney to tell you more on that subject].
