Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New Jersey

My Mother willed her house to me and my 3 brothers. My sister was willed money. She had moved into our Mothers house last Oct. and now will not move out. Can we just change the locks?

Presuming she does not have a Lease or other agreeement from your mother or claim that entitles her to occupy the house, you can use self-help tp evict her (like changing the locks). I caution you that a formal eviction proceding to have her lawfully thrown out might be better. This way, if shew has a claim, it will be quickly be decided by the coiurts and you will have no exposure if you acted improperly..
