Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New Jersey

NJ law regarding Will and a niece.

My aunt my fathers brothers wife has died. My uncle died prior. She did leave a will, but has no living relatives on her side from France. The lawyer overseeing her estate said because I am a niece to her husband I am not entitled to any information. Is this correct?

Unless you are named in the Will or are next of kin to your aunt, the lawyer is technically correct: you are not entitled to information if you are next of kin to her husband. You CAN, however, obtain a copy of the Will from the Surrogate's Office in the county where your aunt resided. They charge about $3 a page.
