New Jersey winners have to come forward and do the whole photo op/press conference when getting that big check. If it's a big enough win there will be at least one story about the winner in the local paper and the winners photo. The winners name will also be listed on the lottery site for all to see. Plus, anyone may contact the Lottery Commission and get the winner's information. If there was a trust or other legal entity established to purchase the ticket, some representative must come forward, so there is not complete anonymity. Think of all the photo ops where an entire group was publicized.
