should notices be sent to all legal heirs to probate a will in which the grandchildren are beneficiaries only after the trustee's demise

When the Will is taken to the County Surrogate and probated (officially filed), then a copy of the will and a notice should go to all the beneficiaries and to all the heirs at law.
