Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New Jersey
When a person dies intestate in NJ does the final distribution & accounting of assets, that had gone through the intestate procedures need to be approved by the courts?

The only requirement for approval is if the beneficiaries require it.

That, and to close out the estate with the Surrogate is the filing of Refunding Bonds and Releases, which are documents evidencing that the beneficiaries have approved everything and received that to which they are entitled/
