Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New Jersey
Power of Attorney
I had power of attorney over my mother for the last few years of her life. She has been gone now for over 2 years. Now my brothers are asking to see the bank statements from her bank account durning that time period I was POA, via an attorney. Do I have to provide these statements? Can their lawyer request them from the bank? I've closed the estate account a few weeks ago.

Re: Power of Attorney
As holder of a POA, you do have a fiduciary duty to others who might be impacted by your activities, so you could be required to provide an accounting.
