As an heir at law, the executor is required to send you Notice of Probate and also a copy of the Will within 60 days of the date the Will is probated.
Re: Probate
A Will offered for Probate is a public document. Anyone can get a copy from the Surrogate of the County in which the Eill was probated. The original Will is kept on file there. Call that office and they will tell you how much the copy will cost (a few dollars) and where to send your check.
Normally, a NJ resident has 4 months from the date of Probate to contest a Will. For out of state residents it is 6 months but these time frames are not written in stone and if you have concerns, there might be any estate left to have a contest over so I recommend you consult, as soon as possible, with a NJ attorney familiar with Probate law and procedure
