Pure Trust, also known as Constitutional Trusts, Common Law Trusts, Aegis Trusts, Renaissance Trusts, etc. are used as phoney tax scams. The promoters cite general legal principles and try to convince the victim that taxes do not have to be paid. Avoid these scam artists like the plague!

I BELIEVE YOU MEAN A TRUST DESIGNED TO AVOID TAXATION, WHICH IF I AM CORRECT, IS A SCAM TO TRY TO AVOID THE LEGITIMATE PAYMENT OF TAXES. EVERYONE IS REQUIRED TO PAY TAXES ON INCOME GENERATED IN THE US, REGARDLESS OF AGE OR HOW ASSETS ARE REGISTERED. SOME SCAM ARTISTS TRY TO GET YOU TO INVEST IN VEHICLES TO AVOID THE PAYMENT OF TAXES, ARGUING THAT TAXES ARE NOT LEGAL. MANY CASES HAVE VERIFIED THAT, EXCEPT FOR APPROPRIATE EXCLUSIONS, US INCOME TAXES ARE LEGITIMATE AND VALIDLY ASSESSABLE AND PAYABLE. THE SCAM ARTISTS TRY TO GET YOU TO BELIEVE NO TAXES ARE DUE, AND THIS COULD EXPOSE YOU TO CRIMINAL PROSECUTION. ON THE OTHER HAND, THERE ARE LEGITIMATE TRUST VEHICLES, DESIGNED TO COVER A VARIETY OF PURPOSES - FROM ASSET PROTECTION, TO ESTATE TAX SAVINGS, OR SHIFTING INCOME TO OTHER TAXPAYERS (E.G., CREATING COLEGE FUNDS FOR CHILDREN), TO AVOIDING PROBATE, AS WELL AS OTHER PURPOSES.
