Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New Jersey
My question is can a will be probated 20yrs after Mother passed? I only have a copy from the lawyer who wrote it. NJ is the state.

It will be difficult to probate a copy of the will based on your facts. Twenty years is a long time.
The NJ Surrogate could not probate the will...you would need to go to Superior Court. I assume if children were disinherited that they would contest the probate application.
