Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New Jersey
My sister, who is executor of my mom's estate, is not doing anything. My mom died 8 years ago and her house is still not on the market because my brother wont move out. How can we force her to act?

You will need to bring an action in court to compel the executor to account.

you need to talk to an attorney who does estate work (I do this) and who is fairly near the town that your mom lived in. there are a couple of ways to push this, before you have to spend the money to file a court action.

To compel action, you need an attorney's assistance, first to write your sister (probably what Bob is suggesting. If this does not get any action, you need to file a complaint with the probate court seeking to compel action or to replace your sister
