My wife and I are designated beneficiaries

Re: Son's will

Anyone named in the Will, or an heir at law, can contest the Will. this does not mean that they will be successful. I really need more facts to give you a better opinion on the likelyhood of a successful will contest (i.e. was your son married? did the will disinherit his spouse? did he have any surviving children? were there any unusual circumstances surrounding the execution of the will?

Please call if you would like to discuss this question in more detail.

Re: Son's will

You are "beneficiaries" under the will, and "designated beneficiaries" of the insurance policy. Under state law, if there is some issue, this can be contested, regardless of the payout from the insurance policy.
