Re: Trust fund

I'm assuming that the Trustor(s) is/are deceased and you are wondering when you will get your inheritance. Trust administration can take months or years, depending on the issues involved. Generally, you would have a right to get a copy of the trust and to demand an annual accounting from the trustee. If the Trustee does not provide an accounting within 60 days, then you would have to bring a petition to compel the accounting. Once the accounting is provided, you can object to distributions/expenditures that are improper, and the court would decide if the Trustee would be liable for improper disbursement. As for when the final distribution would occur, it depends on what issues are left pending (i.e., ongoing business, sale of assets, contests, litigation, etc.)
