Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New Jersey
Will
My aunt died and i am named in her will; my husband is named only if i die. The executor is asking me for my social security number and date of birth as well as my husbands. Why is this pls help

In order to prepare documents that must be filed on behalf of the estate, the social security numbers and perhaps birth dates [to identify with certainty, especially if the many people have the same or similar name] of beneficiaries is needed.
You may ask the executor to provide you with copies of the will and any and all documents that are being prepared and filed.
If you have concerns about the proper administration of the estate, you should consult a local estates lawyer.
