Re: will executor
There are both responsibilities and benefits arisong from the appointment. The Executor has the responsibility to probate the Woll, take control of the assets, be sure all bills are paid, file any necessary tax returns (income and death taxes, if applicable), pay any tax liability, account to the beneficiaries, distribute the assets as the Will or the asset registration rtquires and answer to the Court for all activities undertaken. For this the Executor is allowed to take fees and commissions as provided by statute. In most of the instances where I have been involved as the Executor and/or the attorney for the Executor, most of the detail work is done by the attorney, so the workload of the Executor is minimized.
