Does a wills beneficiary have a right to see bank accounts

I agree. All beneficiaries are entitled to an accounting of their interest in an estate. If questions are raised, the actual documents involved in an estate, like bank account statements, can be examined.

It depends.

If you are simply named in a will, but the person is still alive...no.

If you recieve a cash legacy in the Will [i.e. "I give my friend Mr. Smith $10,000]...no.

If you are a residuary beneficiary...Yes, in the sense that you would be entitled to an estate accounting which would list the various estate assets, including all bank accounts.
