Legal Question in Workers Comp in New Jersey

I am collecting workmans comp.My injurys required shoulder surgery and 2 bulging discs. At the age of 59, Social Security Disability accepted me so I am no longer able to work due to my workplace accident. Both attorneys agreed on the settlement amount. The day of the court date to settle the amount in front of a Judge the workman comp lawyer told my attorney he was not authorized to agree on the amount. We have a new court date. My question is this:If I choose to go to trial on this matter(the agreed amount was only $65,000. which I do not feel was enough) can I end up with less than that amount or nothing?

At trial, you could end up with more, less, the same or nothing at all. In my experience, it is rare for a Judge of Workers' Compensation to not approve a negotiated settlement, and you should immediately talk with your attorney.
