Legal Question in Workers Comp in New Jersey
before a pre-trial letter is sent isnt there usually offers made to my atty.before a trial is set was just wondering because my atty says they just received one but i was never told of any settlement offers made to them prior to that

In litigation there is no �usual�. Sometimes cases settle early, sometimes late, sometimes never. Sometimes offers are made, sometimes they are not, and the timing of the offers varies.
However, in general, if you attorney told you that this was the first offer, I would tend to believe your attorney, if only because there really is no reason not to tell you.
