Legal Question in Workers Comp in New Jersey
I have a question: okay I work at this job...well when u start working you must work 3-weeks, 9:00am to 8:00pm, 6 days a week and only get paid $90 every two weeks during this time and if the employer feels your not good enough she can fire you without pay ...( is this illegal)?

Unless this is a job that is paid mostly on tips or commission, then you are getting paid way under the state and federal minimum wages, so this would not be a legal wage. The part about getting fired is true in the sense that they can fire you if they don't like your work, but they do have to pay you for the hours you worked.

It sounds like you are getting paid much less than the state and federal minimum wages to which you are legally entitled. As indicated above, you can be fired if your work is not satisfactory, but you need to be properly compensated. To discuss this further, please contact me at 732-663-1500.
I look forward to speaking with you.
