Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Mexico
at what point am i considered a felon by law ? i plead guilty n signed a plea but havent been convicted. i am being charged with felon in possession and aiding and abbeting because of my plea. can they do that?

You are not convicted until the Court enters a "Judgment and Sentence," which normally does not happen until some time after the plea hearing.
"Can they do that?" Does this question apply to whether you can be found guilty (by a plea agreement) of aiding and abetting and felon in possession of a firearm? If you thought this was possibly not a legal plea, why did you agree to it? Did you not have an attorney? Yes, "they" can do it, if you agree to it, which is what a plea agreement is all about.
