Email Privacy on Government Computers
Is the email of public employees public information because we are using computers brought by taxpayers money?

The present state of the law is that one has no expectation of privacy in the use of an employer's computer for Email or data storage purposes. In other words, yes. Do not save any information on your employer's computer that you don't wish others to see, as they will likely see it.
