Legal Question in Bankruptcy in New Mexico
Filing chapter 7
I filied chapter 7 in July of 1998 my dicharge was granted in Oct.1998. I feel that I will need to file chapter 7 again. What is the date that I may legally file?

You are not eligible to file another Chapter 7 until after 6 years have passed from the date of filing of the petition. You could file again in 2004, in July, after the date in July when you filed.
You are eligible to file a Chapter 13 case right now, if you meet the requirements for filing that kind of case.
