Legal Question in Business Law in New Mexico
My company purchases a non-refundable ticket for my use, then cancels the travel for business reasons. The ticket remains in my name, can only be used by me, and there is a one-year period in which it may be used. If I leave my company and use the ticket during the one-year period, am I liable to pay back my former employer?
1 Answer from Attorneys
As a Franchise Attorney I think you do. The ticket was purchased for their business use, although it is in your name. If you use it for personal purposes unrelated to their business, consider how would you feel about it if you were in their shoes. Consult with a good business or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.
