Legal Question in Business Law in New Mexico
I am a contractor. I worked on a house and used the money I was paid to buy materials, pay workers. I cashed the checks I was given, did not deposit them and used them for the job. Homeowner became angry and put a stop on the checks I had already spent on her house. She took my personal money out of my bank account and now I cannot make my bills. what action can i take?

As a franchise attorney, I don't understand how this could possibly happen. How can a client take your personal money out of your bank account? She's not on the authorized signer card with your bank, is she? Repost your question with more details and consult with a good business or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.
