Legal Question in Business Law in New Mexico

Non Compliance with New Vehicle Limited Warranty

I purchased a car 3 months ago. I washed it approximately a month after I got it and became concerned that water spots had not come off. I washed it again this last weekend (7/26/03) and still the water spots did not come off. I took it back to the dealership and without looking at the car they told me it was ''owner negligence'' and refused to correct the problem or even give advice on how I could get it fixed. The New Vehicle Limited Warranty states they cover ''environmental fallout'', that would not normally be covered under warranty, for 12 months or 12,000 miles. I want to know what my legal rights are.

Re: Non Compliance with New Vehicle Limited Warranty

Water spots result from mineral deposits left behind when tap water dries on the surface. They are not the fault of the manufacturer, and are not covered by the warranty. New Mexico law does not provide a remedy for such situations.
