An attorney will tell you to follow the requirements that pertain to establishing a business - a business name, filing a DBA, etc. If your nephew is a minor, having an adult in the picture is necessary. Your nephew's music should be protected by filing the appropriate copyright with the U.S. copyright office. Then it's a matter of producing and marketing the CD's. He could start by word-of-mouth, or use online resources, like eBay and CraigsList. Consult with an attorney in your area for specifics.
