Legal Question in Business Law in New Mexico
yellow page advertising
We just purchased an existing storage facility and took on the current yellow page ad. The ad states that the business is open from 8-5. We want to change hours to 9-6 before ad expires in Jan 2010. Are we legally required to honor the ad?

Re: yellow page advertising
Yellow Page ads are published only once per year. Whatever copy is in by the deadline will be there for the following year. New ads are solicited in August and September. Until then, you are stuck with what you bought. YP will not publish a 'corrected' or new directory until fall. You can make the changes to your new contract then.
