Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New Mexico

I was contacted by American Credit Legal Services for the first time saying i owe $1800 or the are going to the us attorney and filing fraud and other charges against me. I have a pay day loan that i was a day late paying last month. Is it possible for them to do this?

No. Failure to pay a debt is not a crime, federal or otherwise. The US Attorney does not prosecute such matters.
