Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New Mexico

credit card liability

What is the statute of limitations on credit card debt that I was a co-applicant on, and the other person is refusing to pay? I haven't seen the card or the other person in over 10 years. I am getting rude and threatening phone calls.

Depends on whether a judgment is in place. Is it a 3rd Party Collector? There may be Fair Debt Collection Practices issues.
