Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New Mexico
I have a judgement against someone from 2003 in california. I wanted to see if I can add a lien to his property if he has some. I do know that he is part of a Family trust. can the lien be put on that? do I need to do enforcement of judgement? If does inherit the property and he dies, do I lose my judgement?
thank you
teresa

Your question is not clear. A precise answer depends upon whether your judgment is from NM or CA. Your judgment remains effective against his estate if he dies, but you must file a claim in the probate proceedings.
