Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New Mexico

I had gotten lied to for a business "partnership" to open a new restaurant and thus lost more than $14,000 for letting these partners borrow my credit card. We allowed them to borrow my credit card to buy any necessary supplies for the restaurant. They bought all these restaurant materials and other items like their son's college tuition. They are not returning my money they used and fired both me and my husband. We have tried to talk to lawyers and credit card companies to see if we could sue but the possibility of that seemed bleak and very expensive. We have printed transaction details of the amount of money these people had bought on specific days with my credit card. We also have witnesses who know we were in a business partnership with them.

Is there ANYTHING we can do to get even some money back? And more specifically, can we go to the police for this problem?

Yes. Notify the police of the theft and the credit card company of the unauthorized charges. The credit card company must reverse the charges. You can sue the CC issuer if they do not.
