Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New Mexico

I live in NM, and I had 2 people in the hospital at the same time at different places. I received my bills, and everyone was willing to work with me, except for one place the Lovelace Health Plan. They wanted 75.00 a month when I can not afford it, I have called them and told them I could afford $50.00, but since I don't pay them their full amount, or the $75.00, they will send me to collections, can they do that even though I have been paying faithfully the $50.00. In addition, when I receive the statement it does not indicate that I have to pay $75.00 it asks for the full amount. When I called them that is when they said I have to pay the $75.00 a month. Do they have the right to turn me into collections even if I have been faithfully paying my $50.00 a month.

They have the right to do so, but may not do so if you faithfully pay each month. If they were going to turn you in for collection, it seems they would have done so by now.
