If you were served with a summons, that means you have been sued. You must respond to the court directly with an Answer to the Complaint within 30 days of receiving the summons. If there is very much money at stake, you should consult an attorney. Since the credit company rejected your offers of settlement, do not expect them to accept them now. Your offer of repayment is not legally sufficient, and should not be provided to the court. You need to consult an attorney to protect your rights.
