Re: $10,000.00 cash only bond
A criminal defendant's conditions of release may be modified by the court at any time. A Motion to reconsider the bond is the usual way to approach this in NM, and that Motion can be filed before a hearing or orally during a hearing. The lawyer should be prepared to demonstrate to the court why the defendant should be released or his/her bond and/or conditions of release modified. Any experienced criminal defense lawyer knows how to approach the topic and what alternatives to a cash only bond should be presented to the court and how.
